Anxiety manifests in our thoughts, moods, behaviors and our physiology. Relaxing our bodies is an effective tool that can be exercised anywhere, anytime when we experience anxiety.

Four Count Breath

Breathing, as simple as it sounds, is one of the best and most effective tools for coping with anxious symptoms. The 4 count breath is an easy-to-remember technique that can quickly relax the body. The idea is to inhale slowly for 4 seconds, hold the breath for another 4 seconds and then exhale for a count of 4 seconds. This 4 count breath can be repeated until your body feels more calm, relaxed and regulated.
